POLICE are warning estate agents and other businesses to be extra vigilant whilst dealing with clients.

Over the past week there have been two incidents of attempted thefts of mobile phones from employees working in estate agents.

The offenders have been described as one male and one female with a child. They are believed to be Eastern European.

A spokesman for the Rugby Town Centre police team said: “The offenders have been enquiring about properties and distracting the staff whilst attempting to steal mobile phones. Any reports of anyone acting suspiciously or matching the description of these people are encouraged to report any information to the police at the earliest opportunity.”

Any witnesses or anyone with information can call Rugby police on 101.
