Five Rugby burglaries reported over weekend

Police have released details of five Rugby burglaries that were reported this weekend.

During the night of Thursday March 9 into Friday March 10, offenders entered the rear garden of a home in Lawrence Road, and then unscrewed the hinges on the door of a wooden shed.

Once inside the shed, the offenders carried out a search before stealing a set of golf clubs. The offenders also entered another shed and stole various bottles and cans of alcohol. This is incident number 88 of March 10.

On the same night, offenders forced open the wooden gate of a home in Campbell Street and then entered the rear garden.

They then forced open a wooden garden shed and stole a mountain bike from inside. This is incident number 182 of March 10.

On Friday March 10 between 5.45am and 5.15pm, offenders removed the bolt from the gate to the rear garden of a home in Portland Road, and unscrewed the hinges of the door of the garden shed, stealing a red racing pedal cycle from inside. This is incident number 322 of March 10.

A home in Webb Ellis Road was targeted between Tuesday March 7 and Saturday March 11. Offenders used a slab from the garden to smash a glass panel in the front door of the house.

It is not clear if anything was stolen. This is incident number 252 of March 11.

Finally, during the night of Saturday March 11 into Sunday March 12, offenders entered a secure garage at a home in Lower Lodge Avenue, causing damage to the lock of the door.

Once inside, the offenders carried out a search before making off with bottles of champagne and a car valeting kit. This is incident number 79 of March 12.
