A MAN has admitted to the murder of a 39-year-old who was found dead in a fishery near Rugby.
On what should have been the first day of his trial at Birmingham Crown Court last week, Peter Andrew Hood, 45, from Nuneaton, pleaded guilty to the murder of Coventry dad Jason Bissell.
Mr Bissell, of Coombe Fields, Coventry, was found in water at Lanny’s Lagoon Fishery at Stretton-under-Fosse on October 19, last year.
He was reported missing a day earlier after his car was found at the fishery.
Hood admitted to the murder of Mr Bissell on October 17, 2010.
Joanne Dawn Griffiths, 41, of Binley, Coventry, is also charged with murder in relation to the death of Mr Bissell. She denies the charge.
Her trial was adjourned following and will start again this week.
Hood will be sentenced for murder at the end of the trial.
