OPERATION LASER UPDATE: Seven more Rugby people charged with drugs offences

A SERIES of dawn raids this week has resulted in seven more people being charged as part of Operation Laser.

Officers raided a series of homes in Rugby on Tuesday morning and arrested 14 people.

The following have been charged:

Stephen Hill, Hoskyn Close, Rugby, charged with conspiracy to supply heroin and bailed

Chelmesli Kennedy, Coton Road, Rugby, charged with conspiracy to supply heroin and bailed

Martin Jackson, Sunbean Close, Rugby, charged with supplying cannabis and bailed

Conrad Cooper, Worcester Street, Rugby, charged and remanded in custody for conspiracy to supply heroin

Darren Robbins, Dovedale Close, Rugby, charged and and remanded in custody with conspiracy to supply heroin and production of cannabis

Cheryl Powell, Keswick Drive, Rugby, charged with conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and bailed

Iain Barden, Whernside, Rugby, charged and remanded in custody with conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine

The other seven have either been released with no further action or cautioned.

A total of 47 people have now been arrested as part of Operation Laser which is the biggest drugs operation ever carried out in Rugby.
