Pizza delivery man robbed in Hillmorton

POLICE are hunting for a robber who attacked a pizza delivery man in Hillmorton on Saturday night.

The robbery happened as the man made his delivery at 11.35pm on Saturday to a house in Lower Crofts, just off Lower Street in Hillmorton.

The delivery driver parked his car 150 yards from the address. He delivered the pizza and started walking back to the car. Half way between the address and the car he was punched to the face by a man who appeared at the front of him. He fell to the floor and felt something against his neck.

A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: “A male voice said ‘give me your money’. He told him that the money was in his right pocket. The money was taken out of his pocket and the offender ran off. The delivery driver, returned to the takeaway where he worked and the police were alerted.”

The delivery man suffered from shock and facial bruising as a result of the robbery.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses who saw or heard any suspicious activity at around this time in the Lower Crofts or the wider Lower Hillmorton area that could be connected to this robbery.
