RUGBY police are appealing for help to trace the rightful owners of several hundreds of items which they believe to have been stolen from house burglaries across the region.

Officers believe many of the items could have come from domestic burglaries in Rugby and also from offences committed further a field including Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Coventry.

The property ranges from an antique desk to clocks and jewellery but also includes vases, pictures, and various items of silver, glassware and photographic equipment. It is believed that some of the recovered property may relate to offences dating back to 2008.
