A drug-dealer has been remanded in custody after trying to pass a forged cheque and being caught with counterfeit currency.

Joshua Nicholson, 21, of Lancut Hill, Rugby, guilty at Warwick Crown Court to possessing quantities of heroin and cocaine with intent to supply them. He had also pleaded guilty at Worcester Crown Court to an offence of fraud, following an attempt by him to cash a forged cheque for £1,550 at the Money Shop in Redditch on September 18. Judge Robert Orme adjourned the drugs case for the Worcester and Nuneaton cases to be sent to the Warwick court so Nicholson can be dealt with for all the matters together.
