A PUBLIC exhibition showing plans for the redevelopment of Elliott’s Field Retail Park, Leicester Road, Rugby has begun today (Friday).

Hammerson, the owner and developer of the retail park is investing £18 million in the redevelopment.

The scheme includes a full-line Debenhams store which will offer cosmetics, womenswear, menswear, homeware and a café/restaurant, alongside space for 15 new retailers, including fashion and homeware brands, in addition to the refurbishment of the existing units and improvements to the external environment and parking facilities.

The public exhibition will take place over two days:

Today (Friday)

The foyer, Rugby Art Gallery, Museum and Library

10am – 6.30pm

Tomorrow (Saturday)

Elliott’s Field Retail Park (a trailer will be located in the car park opposite Wickes)

10am – 5pm

Tom Cochrane, Hammerson development manager, said: “We are holding the exhibition at the earliest possible opportunity to show people the emerging proposals. We have had an encouraging response so far, but we also want to give local people a good opportunity to let us know what they think and we will be asking for feedback. We will give the feedback careful consideration before submitting a planning application next year.”
