Duke of Kent will open revamped playing field in Barford
Almost £500,000 has been raised in the last two years in order to enable an exciting new children’s play area, a multi-use games area including two tennis courts and an all-weather court to be constructed.
In addition, a new perimeter path has been built and a new store and toilet facilities are also in place.

The construction work started in September and, despite incredibly wet weather conditions which hindered progress over winter, it is due to be completed this month ready for the official opening.
A Barford, Sherbourne and Wasperton Joint Parish Council working group was set up in January 2014 to oversee the project.
Since then, its members have put in over 2,500 hours to turn the idea into reality.
