CHILDREN at Dunchurch Infant School have taken part in a litter and recycling project.

They produced colourful posters and made litterbugs from recycled items such as empty milk cartons. The project, paid for with a small grant from the Crimebeat fund, was all about ensuring litter is controlled within the school and community.

School secretary Sue Protheroe said: “The children wanted to draw attention to the need to preserve our beautiful village by encouraging recycling, correct disposal of litter and saying no to vandalism and graffiti.

“They really benefitted from the project, enjoyed a sense of purpose and common goal whilst raising awareness about litter issues.”
