Every little helps thanks to supermarket

A RUGBY charity which supports adults with learning disabilities has been given a donation from a town supermarket.

A group of service users from New Directions in Rugby were invited to the Tesco store in Leciester Road to pick up the cheque for £150.

The money was donated from the Tesco Our Community fund for the charity.

Sue Wilkins, Tesco community champion at the Rugby store, said: “On behalf of Tesco I put a request in to support this worthy cause and £150 was donated.”

New Directions, based in Bilton Road, supports adults with learning disabilities to live interesting and fulfilling lives.

It offer a wide range of different types of care, tailored to the requirements of those who need it.

The donation from Tesco will be put towards kitchen equipment and accessories.
