A FATHER and son have been taken to hospital after they were involved in a car crash on Sunday morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service received a 999 call to Leamington Road in Long Itchington shortly after 11am on Sunday.
An ambulance, a senior paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival crews found a car, which had been badly damaged, and two occupants out of the vehicle.
“The driver, a man in his 40s, suffered a head wound. Due to the damage caused in the crash crews immobilised the man as a precaution and treated his head wound before he was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
“His son, a teenager, suffered minor injuries and was taken by land ambulance to the same hospital.”
