Air ambulance at rural crash scene

THE air ambulance flew a man to hospital after a car crash in a village near Rugby.

The accident, involving two cars, happened in Calias Lane, Broadwell, at around 1.10pm yesterday (Sunday).

Two ambulances and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene and one of the drivers - a man in his 50s - was treated for minor injuries before being taken to the University of Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire.

The driver of the second vehicle, also a man believed to be in his 50s, suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital by the air ambulance.
