Belgian night at The Merchants Inn

SIT back and relax with a Belgian beer, tuck into Belgian food and enjoy a night of great music at a Rugby pub whilst imagining your on your holidays.

The Merchants Inn in Little Church Street is hosting its annual Belgian Evening on Wednesday, March 3, as it continues on its quest to introduce the people of Rugby to the very finest beers from around the world.

The event follows on from the hugely successful German Evening that was held in September and is a testament to the pubs massive range of Belgian beers that it regulalry stocks.

As well as beer, there is also Belgian food throughout the night and live music featuring local artists.

Landlord Scott Whyment said: "These nights - the German and Belgian - really stand out in our calendar, they are absolutely fantastic fun and brilliantly received.

"I think the fact that is's something different, it gives everybody such a break from the norm, which at the moment is quite significant.

"Ultimately we just provide the best beer and food that Belgium has to offer, couple with fantastic music and a receptive audiences - it's amazing what atmosphere they create."

Entry to the Belgian night is free but advance tickets, which are advisable because tables are booked very quickly, can be bought for 6.50 in return for a free beer.
