BREAKING NEWS: Another teenager arrested in connection with fatal Rugby fires

POLICE have arrested another teenager in connection with two fires at Harold Cox Place.

The 18-year-old man was arrested this morning (Monday) on suspicion of manslaughter and arson with intent following the two fatal fires at the sheltered housing complex in Bilton on Saturday, February 27 and Monday, March 1.

Albert and Kath Adams died in their home at Harold Cox Place as a result of the first fire.

The man, who is from Rugby, is currently in custody waiting to be questioned by officers.

A 15-year-old boy who was also arrested in connection with the fires has been remanded in secure accommodation until May 28 following a court hearing this morning.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Warwick Crown Court charged with two counts of manslaughter, two counts of arson with intent to endanger life and two counts of arson being reckless as to whether life would be endagered.

On May 28 the boy will appear at Warwick Crown Court again for a plea and case management hearing.
