Editor's Viewpoint: About time forum was overhauled
It is a good thing that the Rugby Cement Community Forum may shunted up a siding or recreated as a new body - the current version is unworkable and ineffective.
For various reasons, the Environment Agency had pulled out of attending when actually they should be a vital ingredient.
The idea of the forum was so that the company and the community could work together hand in hand.
And the relationship between representatives could not really be described like that. However neither is going away and the basis for a new body (even if the old one continues), should be based on a greater balance, trust and the desire to see progress.
It would be a good start if the chairperson should be independent ie not from Rugby Cement, Rugby Borough Council or any particular pressure group. Nevertheless the public should have greater involvement and more say.
The meetings should prefereably be held in an independent venue.
Also, despite the fact that more information and access would be good, it is very easy to simply slam Rugby Cement and bombard it with criticism.
But it is a major player in our community and many people's livelihoods rely upon it.
We need to reach solutions reasonably, if this thing is going to work.

I don't know about you but I was astounded to know that as many as one in 50 pound coins could be fake.
I instantly went through my loose change and I think I have found one... but I am not sure!
My suspicious coin, instead of have a latin inscription round the edge, has a helix pattern - and there's no mention of that in the on-line advice...
