Ferguson’s restaurant leads the way for Rugby in the Michelin Guide

An ‘ambitious’ Rugby restaurant has proudly featured in the most recent Michelin Guide.

Ferguson’s, in Eastfield Place, Rugby, was commended for its food which was ‘carefully prepared and ambitions with modern overtones’.

It was the only restaurant in Rugby to be included in the 2015 guide, which lists high-quality establishments after inspecting the food and setting.

The guide encouraged diners to ‘have light bites on the terrace or head into the airy contemporary interior, where glass and light wood feature’.

It also said ‘understated menu descriptions give little away - cooking is carefully prepared and ambitious with modern overtones’.

David Ferguson, executive chef and director of the two-year-old restaurant, has over fifteen years’ experience gained in Glasgow, Leicester Opera House and the Queens Head in Belton.

He said: “It’s great to be featured in the guide. We have been putting in a lot of hard work so it’s nice to have that recognised. We offer really good food in a relaxed setting and we are fortunate to have some very loyal customers who want to see us do well.

“I would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last two years and we hope to see you again soon.”

The talented chef has been invited to give a demonstration at the Grand Designs Live which takes place at Birmingham NEC from Thursday October 8 to Sunday October 11.

He will be cooking in the Live Kitchen Experience at 11.50am and 3.05pm on the Saturday.
