A LIVELY festival atmosphere was enjoyed by the thousands of people who visited Crick Boat Show over the weekend.
The event, the country’s largest inland waterways show, included more than 200 stalls, craft and food marquees, children’s activities, musical entertainment and the chance to climb aboard a variety of boats on display.
Organisers hailed the success of the three-day event, which they said had attracted more visitors than before.
Luan Moreton attended the show for the first time with her three-year-old son Nate.
She said: “I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’d never been to the show before.
“It was brilliant and the fact the weather was so changeable didn’t matter at all. Nate particularly having his face painted, the circus skills and of course coming face to face with Peppa Pig!”
She added: “We’re definitely going to come back next year.”
Sarah Kidd, marketing manager for the show, said the show, said it was one of the best shows in years.
“We were really pleased with the way it went,” she said.
“There was a brilliant atmosphere and everyone seemed to enjoy it.”
