Festive fun at panto

A PERFORMANCE of popular panto Dick Whittington comes to the Benn Hall on Tuesday December 18.

The festive fun comes to Rugby courtesy of Chaplin Pantos and guests will have a chance to cheer on their hero Dick Whittington and boo the evil baddie Captain Blood.

Dick Whittington and His Cat is an English folk tale that tells of a poor boy in the 14th century who becomes a wealthy merchant and eventually the Lord Mayor of London because of the ratting abilities of his cat.

The two-hour performance will transport youngsters back to the magical setting of Old London Town and is packed solid with comedy, excitement and adventure.

The production company, Chaplin Pantos, perform to hundreds of thousands of youngsters each year due to the popularity of its shows in schools and other community centres.
