An award-winning Rugby care home will be holding a Dementia information day to help residents, their families and the community learn more about the condition.

The event at the Dunchurch Road home runs from 10am on Saturday June 13.

Representatives from Davidson Mahon Solicitors, Home Instead Senior Care, Janet Gee St James Place, Age UK, MIND and the local dementia befriending service will also be available to answer any questions visitors may have.

Dementia Champion Karen Handley will be holding a Dementia Friends awareness session for attendees at 2pm. Karen is the Customer Relationship Manager at Anya Court.

She said: “The drop in session will tell you everything you need to know about dementia.

“One in three of us will live with dementia in their life, therefore it’s important that as a care provider we get the word out there and as a community we become more dementia friendly.”
