Fire crews rescue people trapped in car in Rugby

Fire crews were mobilised yesterday to rescue people that had become trapped in their car after a collision in Rugby.

At 12.36pm Fire Control received the call and two appliances from Rugby were sent to the scene, which was near to the Easenhall turn on the Fosse Way in Brinklow.

On arrival crews found one car in a ditch and with two people inside.

One of the people was trapped.

The crews used hydraulic cutting equipment and administered first aid.

The person who was trapped was rescued from the car at 1.10pm and then placed in the care of the Ambulance Service.
