Fire crews were called out to Rugby railway station during rush hour on Thursday morning - to free a man who had got his hand stuck in a coffee machine.

The incident was reported at 8.39am and involved a member of staff on a train.

A spokesperson for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “One appliance from Rugby was mobilised and crews confirmed one male member of staff on a train had his hand stuck in a coffee machine.

“Crews used small gear and hydraulic cutting equipment to release the casualty. An Ambulance was requested to attend due to the casualty having lacerations to their hand.”
