AN EXPLOSIVE night is being held in Rugby to help keep the air ambulance flying.

A Bonfire and Fireworks Extravaganza takes place at Brownsover Hall on Friday, November 4 to raise money for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.

It includes a winter barbecue, mulled wine and marshmallows and runs from 6pm to 10pm.

Alan Moxon, general manager at Brownsover Hall, said: “We are delighted to support the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.

“They offer a fabulous service in keeping our area safe and each and every one of us can be thankful when they arrive when needed most.”

He added: “Our bonfire night extravaganza has all the signs of an excellent evening for families and the Rugby community.

“Ben Morley-McKay and his company Halo FX will provide a spectacular firework display set to music in the dramatic setting of the Swift Valley.”

Local schools are invited to submit drawings of the occasion and one in each category will be drawn out to win a Sunday Lunch for four at Brownsover Hall.

Refreshments include hotdogs, burgers, baked potatoes, wine, beer, cider, soft drinks, marshmallows and toffee apples.

Tickets cost £10 with all proceeds to the Baginton-based air ambulance.
