Flowers By Pauline is celebrating 25 years in business in Rugby town centre this month.
The independently owned florist was established in 1989 and offers flowers for all occasions including weddings, funerals, corporate events and special occasions. They can also send flowers anywhere across the globe via the Interflora worldwide delivery service.
The colourful business employs 12 people and is located at 4 Regent Street.
Mark Overton, who co-owns the business, said: “Twenty-five years in business is a big milestone for an independent retailer and customer care has always been at the heart of our success and longevity. As a business we have worked hard, paid attention to detail, listened to our customers, and will continue to do so going forward.”
Fellow owner Lynn Overton added: “We would like to say a special thank you to all our customers both past and present who have helped us make us the business we are today. As a token of our gratitude we are providing giveaways via social media and in-store throughout October to celebrate the anniversary.”
‘Flowers by Pauline’ can trace its ‘roots’ back to Tebbs florist in Hillmorton – a family owned business originally founded by Mark’s grandfather Jack Tebbs in 1928, and now acknowledged as the Midlands’ oldest family-run florist. Its expansion in 1989 gave it a town centre presence.
Aftab Gaffar, Rugby First managing director, said: “I would like to extend my congratulations to ‘Flowers by Pauline’ and wish them another successful 25 years in Rugby town centre. To last for that length of time as an independent business, particularly given the recent very difficult economic climate, is an outstanding achievement and once again highlights the importance of customer care to any business.”
