A DANCER from Brownsover has landed the lead role in an international production of Riverdance.

Callum Spencer, 20, is taking on the role made famous by Michael Flatley during a tour of the dance show in Canada.

Callum started dancing at the age of ten with the Matthews Academy in Coventry and is consistently placed in the top ten at World Championships. Callum, who started dancing while he was at St Marie’s junior school, went to Princethorpe College before embarking on his dancing career. He has toured the USA, Canada, Europe and Russia with Lord of the Dance. He also appeared in Ireland’s RTE TV series Dance Off and was chosen as lead by former Riverdance star Breandan de Gallai.
