The incident happened just west of the point where the A45 is joined by the Straight Mile and the traffic coming over the flyover by McDonald’s, wanting to head towards Coventry.

“Two ambulances attended with a paramedic area support officer and with a Warwickshire and Northamptonshire ambulance critical care car.

“One of our crews treated a woman and two children and they were all transferred to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

“The motorcyclist was a man in his 30s and he was found by our crews approximately 20 metres away from his bike.

“He was treated for pelvic injuries and was fully conscious. He was immobilised, given pain relief and University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire were alerted to his condition for his arrival.”
