A charity saving abandoned dogs from death row is holding its Annual Fun Dog Show on May 15.
The day is in aid of Pawprints Dog Rescue and will feature something for everyone.
It is being held at the Old Laurentians Rugby Club, Lime Tree Avenue, Rugby.
Charity spokeswoman Anita Twigger said: “We are hoping more people than ever will come to this year’s dog show, which promises to be our best yet.
“All of the funds raised will go directly to Pawprints Dog Rescue, which is a registered charity that saves abandoned dogs from death row.”
Attractions include stalls, refreshments and the chance to cuddle some small pets from Pets at Home.
Starting the day off at 10am is the Best Junior Handler class, followed by Fancy Dress Pair. There are also classes for the Prettiest and Most Handsome dogs, the Scruffiest Dog, Waggiest Tail, Best Biscuit Catcher, the Face Only A Mum Could Love and many more. Every class winner will be entered into the Best In Show class, at 5pm, where there is a prize of £50 to be won.
Prizes will be awarded to class winners and rosettes will be given to those who finish in the top four. Hugh Duffin, Senior Clinical Director of Animal House Veterinary Surgery, will be presenting the prize and rosette to the Best in Show.
Show-goers can also meet some of the Pawprints dogs that are currently looking for new homes and talk to Team PDR about volunteering opportunities.
Anita added: “Many of the dogs that have come into the rescue over the last 12 months have needed medical attention, some of them for life saving treatment, and Pawprints - which is run wholly by volunteers - puts every penny raised into the charity to benefit the dogs in their care.”
Trade pitches are still available for the day. If you would like a pitch contact Trisha on 07415 030165.
