Visitors flocked to Overslade House nursing home and enjoyed a day of fun in the sun.

The summer fete included the Scorpio Cheerleaders, Mini Hooves Farm, fire engines and craft stalls.

Organisers said 200 people supported the event.

Jo Sawyer, activities co-ordinator at Overslade House, said: “We all had a really fabulous time and would like to thank everybody who came along.

“Lots of money was raised for our residents’ fund and we had lots of fun doing it.”

On July 21, a Tickled Pink Summer Wonders is being held at the Overslade Lane home. The summer sing-along event starts at 6.30pm and is free. King and Rackham Duo will perform classical from 2pm on July 22.
