SAINSBURY’S shoppers in Rugby have helped raise nearly £7,500 for charity.

The money has been presented to the Royal British Legion after veterans sold poppies and other items at the Dunchurch Road store.

Rachel Fordham, PR ambassador for Sainsbury’s, said: “Collections were made at our Dunchurch Road store and everyone was very generous.

“We had veterans come to the store as part of the poppy appeal and they helped raise a brilliant amount.”

Organisers would like to thank everybody who donated.
