TOP Rugby quiz master Dave Twynholm is putting people’s grey matter to the test on March 8.

The Rugby Grand Trivia Quiz 2012 in aid of Rugby Myton Hospice takes place at the Benn Hall from 7.30pm.

Teams of up to six people are invited to battle it out for the first prize of £120 and the chance to walk away with the Rugby Myton Hospice Challenge Trophy.

Dave, who is from Rugby and has appeared on a number of television quiz shows, said: “The trivia quiz for Rugby Myton Hospice is always really popular so I would urge people to get their teams registered now.

“It’s going to be a great night and will raise much-needed funds for the hospice.”

It costs teams of up to six people £24 to enter the event.

Quiz-goers are urged to register as soon as possible due to its popularity.

1st Prize: £120 and the Rugby Myton Hospice Challenge Trophy; 2nd Prize: £60; 3rd Prize: £30 plus a mystery prize donated by Joto Models in Rugby.

There will also be a bar and raffle on the night.

If you would like to enter a team please contact: Nigel Adams, Community Fundraiser on 01926 838838

Last year more than £2,000 was raised from the quiz.

Myton Hospice was opened in 2002 following a successful public appeal.

It is situated in the grounds of the Rugby St Cross hospital and is open five days a week.

All care is provided free of charge but £350,000 a year is needed to keep the hospice running.
