BAWNMORE Infant School pupils have been treated to a surprise day of Gruffalo-themed fun at Rugby High School.
Around 120 children from year two took part in drama, arts and creative writing activities put together by staff and sixth formers.
Year 12 drama students spent weeks putting their performance of The Gruffalo together with the help of teacher Jill Halstead.
School librarian Raana Chaudhry said: “The children weren’t told anything about what they were going to do.
“When they saw the performance, they were mesmerised.”
The event, which coincided with the Rugby Festival of Culture, won’t be forgotten by the youngsters from Bawnmore, as they went away with a scrapbook full of art and stories they created.
