A TEAM of hairdressers from Rugby put their scissors down for the day and decided to jump out of a plane thousands of feet in the air - all in the name of charity.
All the staff at Mojo in Church Street took part in the skydive in July and raised £1,805 for Save the Children’s Japan tsunami and earthquake emergency appeal.
The staff were joined by Mr Rugby 2011 Erick Alejandro and Leigh Odell, who is the boyfriend of one of the salon employees.
Matt Robinson, manager of Mojo and organiser of the skydive, said: “We did really well. We aimed to raise £1,000 so to raise much more than that was great.
“The money will help care for a lot of children which is really good.”
