BBC TV chefs the Hairy Bikers wheeled in to Ryton Gardens last week to film for their new TV show.
Si King and Dave Myers turned up on their Triumph motorbikes and filmed in various spots around the gardens before sampling some baked beetroot and a traditional Carlin pea, both grown at the site.
All the produce eaten by the chefs was grown organically using rare vegetable seed from the charity’s Heritage Seed Library.
Visitor manager Mark Wilkinson said: “They were just as they are on TV!”
