The attending officers took the woman, who had her bag stolen, back to her home address where it was discovered that her husband’s grey Volkswagen Golf mobility vehicle had been stolen from the driveway.

The vehicle also had the man’s wheelchair on it.

The wheelchair has been described as aluminium/silver with a bright blue base and back with Careco written on the side, big wheels that can be taken off and replaced with smaller ones and also has a black cushion with it.

Police are now appealing for anyone with any information about the initial incident at Draycote Waters or anyone who may have seen suspicious behaviour when the mobility vehicle was believed to have been taken from Conrad Close in Rugby, shortly afterwards.

If anyone has any information they should call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 97 of 10 November.
