People in Rugby who use a novel scheme to combat mental health problems are being asked for their views as the service goes national.
Under the Books On Prescription scheme, patients are prescribed self-help books to support them through common mental conditions. The titles can be borrowed from libraries across the county, with 968 prescriptions issued since the scheme started in 2010. It’s be so successful that it’s being rolled out nationally this spring.
Dr. John Linnane, Director of Public Health in Warwickshire, said: “We are always keen to get feedback so we can improve and develop. We’re asking people who have been prescribed or a few minutes to complete a short survey.”
