A CHARITY based in Rugby is hoping hundreds of people in the town will take part in celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June.
Hope, which is a national charity based in Market Place, Rugby, is organising its fourth annual Big Lunch event on Sunday, June 3.
The Big Jubilee Lunch will support the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations to mark Her Majesty’s 60 years on the throne.
The charity works with churches across the country to carry out community missions. The Diamond Jubilee is a major mission opportunity for the charity and sees it as a chance for the church to build community and join in with locals.
The charity is hoping that Rugby churches and communities will come together to take part in the celebrations and it is providing all the resources needed to launch a celebratory party.
Roy Crowne, executive director, said: “It will be great fun. We’re hoping that lots of people in Rugby take part.”
