CRICK Pre-school hosted an opening celebration on Saturday after moving onto the site of the village’s primary school.
Until Christmas 2011 the school operated from the village hall, but will now be able to make use of the primary school’s facility. Staff and children marked the occasion with a May Queen procession, children’s games and a large celebratory cake.
Mary Rodley, pre-school business manager, said: “Now that we have our own room we can make it as bright and as colourful as we want, which wasn’t the case when we were at the village hall.
“Children can also enjoy our new outdoor area and the move also means staff don’t have to pack up at the end of ever session like they used to. Our new home benefits everyone - the children can have more fun, the progression to primary school is easier and it’s a convenient location for parents.”
