A MUSIC night has raised £1,000 for a Rugby charity.

The fundraising gig, with music from The Jam’d, was held on November 18 last year at the Benn Hall in aid of New Directions in Rugby.

More than 300 people attended the event, including guests from New Directions. The charity, based in Bilton Road, supports adults with learning disabilities to live interesting and fulfilling lives.

Steve Vassell from Capshann Promotions who organised the event said: “It’s a great feeling knowing everyone has had a fabulous night and raising money for a local charity at the same time. I am very happy that it was a very well supported event.”
