CREATIVE youngsters at a village pre-school have designed some artwork that will be displayed in pride of place at the 2012 Crick Boat Show.

The group of 22 children, aged between two and four from Kilsby Pre-School, have designed and decorated 11 signs spelling ‘Kids at Crick’ which will be on show outside the children’s marquee at the event next month.

Pre-school teacher Julie Farmer said: “The children have enjoyed decorating their signs with canals, boats, swans, ducks as well as crowns and the number ‘60’ and ‘2012’ to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.”

The 13th Crick Boat Show and Waterways Festival will run from June 2 to 5 to coincide with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
