X Factor contestants Kingsland Road have raised thousands of pounds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Rugby teenager Joe (known as Connor) Conaboy and Kingsland Road bandmates Matt, Josh, Thompson and Jay have raised £7,900 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital after selling a signed acoustic guitar on ebay.

The guitar, which the band have played on the X Factor, went up for auction on ebay earlier this week.

A total of 141 bids were placed on the guitar, raising a total of £7,900 for the hospital.

The band will perform live again on the X Factor this evening (Saturday).

Connor’s mum Vicki Street, who works at Cawston Grange Primary School, said: “We need the whole of Warwickshire behind them.”
