Leicester Road roundabout re-opens after accident

Emergency services attended the scene of a collision on Leicester Road this morning (Monday).

Police were called just before 8.10am to the collision between a Toyota Yaris and a motorcycle on the Mr Kipling roundabout.

The man who was riding the motorbike is believed to have sustained leg and shoulder injuries and has been taken to hospital.

The air ambulance service were called to the scene but the motorcyclist was taken to hospital by land ambulance.

The Mr Kipling roundabout was initially closed while officers worked at the scene but it has since re-opened to traffic.
