You may have noticed the Western Relief Road outside Rugby looks a lot tidier recently.

That is because a two-man team from Rugby Borough Council collected 2.1 tonnes of rubbish from the roadside over two days last week.

The litter pick was part of the local authority’s routine waste collections, which sees the A4071 cleaned up three or four times a year, according to a council spokesman.
