Appeal for witnesses to collision in Marton, Rugby

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Marton, Rugby which occurred earlier this month.

The collision occurred in Shepherd Street at about 8.20pm on Sunday December 8 and involved a red Peugeot 406 which collided with a house. The 80 year old driver was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire after being released from the vehicle, and died there four days later. Polise are unable to provide details of the deceased at this time.

Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw the car and the manner in which it was being driven before the collision occurred.

Anyone with information is asked to telephone Warwickshire Police on 101 and ask to speak to PC David King in the Operations Policing Unit at Rugby.
