The event features a host of family fun, including bouncy castles and face-painting, and a range of information stalls from charities and voluntary organisations.

Visitors can discover the work of the voluntary sector in Rugby and find out about volunteering opportunities on offer in the borough.

Carol Kavanagh, of CAVA’s Rugby Volunteer Centre, said: “This year’s Volunteers’ Week celebration will be bigger and better than previous years with entertainment for the children too. Lots of charities will be taking part, including Guide Dogs, Rugby RoSA, the Hummingbird Centre and Mind, all needing volunteers.

“It’s a great time to start volunteering whether you’ve recently retired, finished university or just need to broaden your horizons.”

The event runs in the park from 11am to 3pm on Wednesday, June 1.
