Cannabis plants seized at Rugby home

Police discovered 70 cannabis plants during the search of a property in Thomson Close, Rugby.

The search took place yesterday afternoon, Thursday, after an earlier warrant was executed at a property on Buchanan Road in the morning.

Following the warrant on Buchanan Road, a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug and conspiracy to supply cannabis and a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply cannabis.

In addition to the seizure of the plants on Thomson Close, a quantity of cannabis and £4,000 in cash were seized at the property on Buchanan Road.

Both men have been bailed until the end of May while investigations continue.
