A scheme that helps unemployed Rugby people find work and claim benefits has received a £15,600 grant.

The Beyond Recession project is run at the Benn Partnership Centre in Railway Terrace. The money, which will last for two years, has come from the Rugby Benevolent Fund on behalf of Cemex.

Bob Reeve, from the centre, said the scheme helps people by “addressing the benefit changes which are now being rolled out, and therefore ease the hardships of the victims of change, while supporting them to become more employable and be better equipped to successfully seek permanent employment”.
