Plans to give residents more say about the future of Coton Park will take a step forward next week.

People living in the area have devised a ‘neighbourhood plan’, with policies relating to transport, community life and green spaces.

The document is the subject of a public consultation beginning on Monday and running until Monday April 7.

Copies of the plan will be available for viewing between these dates at Rugby town hall, Rugby library, the Brewers Fayre on Central Park and the David Wilson sales office at Oaklands.

Various consultation events are planned for March.

Visit www.cotonforward.org for more information. The area is the first in Warwickshire to draw up such a plan.

A referendum on its implementation is due in November.
