Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service was called to a flat fire in Rugby at 12.22pm today.

Two fire engines were sent to Danielle House on Hillmorton Road.

On arrival the crew believed there to be someone in the flat and therefore an additional engine was sent from Southam.

The crew confirmed there was a fire on the first floor of a three storey building.

Fire-fighters in breathing apparatus extinguished the fire and also confirmed the property was empty. The crews were at the incident for 2 hours.
