A free 52-page guide to all the events planned for this year’s Rugby Festival of Culture is now available from Rugby Visitor Centre or downloadable from the festival website.

Now in its fourth year, the festival will run from Friday June 27 until Sunday July 13, in a variety of town centre locations. It is supported by Rugby First and Rugby Borough Council and provides a platform to showcase Rugby and the surrounding area’s music, dance, art, theatre, comedy, poetry, literature, walks, food and drink.

Aftab Gaffar, managing director of Rugby First, said: “I’m absolutely delighted with the guide this year.

“It looks great and is packed full of superb events that will appeal to a wide range of audiences and bring a lot of people into Rugby town centre.

“Based on previous years’ experience, please make sure you book early where applicable for events to avoid disappointment as many sell out quickly. Enjoy reading the guide and have a great festival.”

Some of the highlights from this year’s guide include outdoor theatre performances of Peter Pan and Macbeth, a Food Fayre, an Art Trail, a Craft Fair and a stage which will host lunchtime performances throughout the festival.

Other ways of getting hold of a festival guide include calling (01788) 533217 or emailing visitor.centre@rugby.gov.uk.

Mr Gaffar added: “I would like to say a big thank you to all those groups that have contributed to the programme and to our festival sponsors that include the Clock Towers Shopping Centre, Thornton Robson Estate Agents, Hinckley & Rugby Building Society and Bretherton’s Solicitors.”
