The Post Office is proposing to move Binley Woods post office from its current location to create an open-plan branch with extended opening hours.

The new branch will offer Post Office products and services from two open-plan tills at the retail counter alongside retail transactions throughout shop opening hours. The proposed location for the branch is Binley Woods Convenience Store, 49 Woodlands Road. This is 966 metres from its current site at 106 Rugby Road. The Post Office is now inviting customers and interested parties to give their comments on the move in a six-week public consultation.

Should the move go ahead, the branch would open from 7am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 3pm on Sunday. This would be 39 hours and 30 minutes more than are currently offered every week.

During the public consultation, Post Office Ltd welcomes feedback on any issues customers would like considered before a final decision is taken on this proposal. The consultation will close on July 3. Submissions can be made during the consultation by Freepost YOUR COMMENTS to Post Office Ltd, via email to comments@postoffice.co.uk or via the customer helpline on 08457 22 33 44.
